AVIATOR Ray Ban sunglassesI currently have a 3gen 40GB iPod.
I've been waiting forever for the 80GB to show up.
I use mine for music/ data storage and photo backup storage off microdrives and flash drives.
I just hope everyone knows this looks like a stop gap on the iPod side of things. I willing to bet another iPod gets released right before X'mas or at MacWorld. Probably the so call touch screen ver. and then everyone will whine again about something.
I was simply amazed by the iTV announcement!
BRAND ; RAYBAN STYLE ; AVIATOROracle's lawsuit against Google is airtight. Android's use of a non-compliant virtual machine (the Dalvik VM) is a clear violation of the Java license agreement. And there's legal precedent: Microsoft paid Sun $20 million back in 2001 when Sun successfully sued them for trying to "embrace, extend, and extinguish" Java.
Google will lose the lawsuit. And nobody has ever accused Larry Ellison of being Mr. Nice Guy. He doesn't want money this time. He wants to protect the intellectual property Oracle acquired from Sun. He wants all copies of Android to be "impounded and destroyed" (a direct quote from text of the suit.) Because if Google is allowed to plagiarize and distort Java, others will follow. Ellison is making an example of Google, and it's going to be a law school textbook IP case study for the ages.
Soon Android will be off the market while Google is forced to retool their JVM to be 100% Java compliant. Google is already scrambling to get rid of their non-compliant Dalvik VM. They actually hired James Gosling, the "inventor" of Java, so they've got religion now.
And, although money isn't the motivating factor behind the Oracle lawsuit, it is a factor nonetheless. Google will end up paying Oracle a license fee for each and every generic me-too Android iPhone clone and iPad clone that their hardware partners can mash up. And that erases Android's only advantage over WP7. Android will no longer be free.
So, when Android is off the market, Nokia's WP7 phones will have a chance to avoid becoming KIN 2.0. There will be a window of opportunity for Nokia and Microsoft to build up a little market share. Some corporations and consumers will buy Nokia WP7 phones just because Nokia and Microsoft are "too big to die." (And just when Google thinks it's safe, when they've implemented a 100% compliant JVM, Apple can sue them for GUI patent infringement. But that's another story...)
In the meantime, both WP7 and Nokia will have zero market presence. For all of 2011 and part of 2012. That's an eternity.
Well I missed this news. Can you please share a link/source about this?
Ray Ban 9102 AviatorYay. This is what I've been waiting for.
Perhaps we will get a good GPU this time with at least 512 MB VRAM
Sale ray ban sunglassBesides abolishing the ability of your graphics card, there are other interesting features of the processor. The hardware giant has confirmed that Sandy Bridge was designed with an integrated content protection to prevent piracy of high-end digital quality.
I am not ashamed to admit that I do not understand what Tampa Tom has said. Abolishing the ability of your graphics card? Sandy Bridge was designed with an integrated content protection to prevent piracy of high-end digital quality? What does that mean? It doesn't sound good. What type of content? Thank you, in advance, for any replies.
P.S. There are quite a few comments here regarding USB 3.0 and Blu-Ray. I think that if I go out and buy a brand new computer and it has USB that it really ought to at least offer the newest version. As far as Blu-Ray, I think that it would really be nice if Apple would at least offer it as an option for those that want it and are willing to pay a little extra. Just like extra RAM or a larger HD.
ray ban sunglasses aviatorthis is definitely a style over functionality....how da heck do you dial a number with clickwheel?
of course, if this is a slider phone like chocolate, then this is an awesome design.
How do you figure this is an awesome design? This is a brainless design! Designing the nano in the first place might have been awesome. But making a nano a phone is hardly a leap of design genius!
And you mentioned chocolate and awesome design in the same sentence!!!

Would you guys get a room already?
(The trolling grows tiresome.)
So does the fanboyism. The trolling creates balance.
Classical Aviator StyleI prefer to see the apps pulled. Some apps are best not available. Maybe we could add others, like the locations of the various whorehouses, and best corners for buying drugs.
It certainly doesn't hurt to add to Apple's No Porn standards.
This is not even close to the same as having locations of whore house or drug dealers. However I would guess the police might like to have these apps.
Where and what police are doing is a matter of public knowledge. Posting where they are is not illegal or going against some other standard.
ray ban sunglasses aviatorWhat time is the Sept. 12th event taking place? Anyone know? I am going to be in school and want to know if I am going to be able to get in on the action live. I doubt it though.:(
10am Pacific time. 1pm our time.
New style RayBan Aviator 3029No. it's still using more than one core. More likely because of the speed limitation of the hard drive writing the mp4 file.I know this sounds silly but how do you monitor processor usage from a process via Activity Monitor? (I have the %CPU column up but is there a way to get more detailed information?) I have the Developer Tools installed too. I'm not a developer but well...my work requires me to have them installed anyways.

I always assumed, probably wrongly, that there was some file size limit or that it could affect performance when using it for large files (I mostly work with huge ProRes files.)
Just FYI...
File size wouldn't affect performance at all, as long as you're copying between locations on the same drive. The "file" that you see in the GUI is actually a link to a location on disk where your data is; all the OS has to move is the link, which is very tiny.
5 style RB3026 Ray Ban aviatorConsidering that the iTS is like the 5th biggest music vendor, they sure suck at selling movies. 125k is nothing compared to real movie vendors.
Maybe when they get more than 75 movies. Amazon unbox started with like 2000 movies!
Are you serious? This is their first WEEK of doing it, what do you expect? And how many movies did Amazon sell in their first week? I'd bet it was less than Apple. Good selection won't overcome crappy implemenation.
I guess people value convenience over quality. That's great for Apple. That confirms it will be a success.
For me I rather buy DVDs or wait for hi definition downloads, but I guess many people out there are satisfy with lower quality.
From what I've heard, the quality is pretty close to DVD. Have you compared the two? What is your complaint about quality?
On my DSL connection, it took about 7 hours. I let it go overnight.
Not quite the 30 minutes that Steve promised.
He quoted that number on a 5M connection...is that what you have?
Maybe they could make iTunes let you start playing your TV show download before it's finished, like they let you do with movies?
I'd bet they already do, since the download engine in iTunes is redone. Can anyone confirm?

NI am, however, starting to see why they allowed a sneak preview of iTV. Look how many of us are saying "I can't wait for iTV!" now that we've had some time to experiment with iTunes movie downloads!
Yes, we're all looking forward to a product to come out in 3 or 4 months that will actually make the product they released last week bearable!
Brilliant!!
Ray Ban SunglassesHey.... Where is my updated Mac Mini?
Hear hear!
Ray Ban Aviator SunglassI own a 2010 13" MacBook Pro and I'm loving all of its wonderfulness. However in relation to my job and my study I'm doing alot of coding and graphic work, which isn't ideal on a 13".
If apple does pull their finger out of their tight, price-raping, tingling a*sehole and decide to put a good GPU with 1GB standard, in the 21,5" (Wishfull thinking?) they'll have my money.
*1,850 dollars for the low-end 21,5 is ridiculous... lame danish taxes.

Hi
Not completely on topic but...
Is it possible to stream audio and video from a mac to the iPad? If so, is the feature included or does it require an app?
Refer to my post just before yours. Both solutions will work for streaming videos to your iDevice from iTunes. My previous post had a link to the iTunes instructions for Home Sharing, but here are the iOS instructions (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4557).
It isn't 100% free, but not too pricey. Air Video (iOS app) (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/air-video-watch-your-videos/id306550020?mt=8) will allow you to watch movies, in nearly any format, that are stored anywhere on your computer -- not just iTunes. Air Video Host software for Mac OS X and Windows (http://www.inmethod.com/air-video/download.html)
Ray-an-aviator-3211-rb3211-Acctually what gets old is a look of the same thing for the long time. Now the Powerbook look is awesome, so improve upon it. All of us wishing for a new enclosure are not screaming we want a 17" White MB no no no. We are saying just change it up.
I always find it so funny these apple followers (not you, one I am posting to) that preach about how innovative apple is, but then minute another apple follower demands change, we get our torches, tar, and chicken feathers...
My dream would be a refined Powerbook look. Perhaps in a gunmetal (that super dark grey) still aluminum looking though.
Don't get me wrong, I would welcome a new enclosure but I think that allowing the prospect of one to be the determining factor in the purchase of a machine is ridiculous. As much as I would LOVE to have a gunmetal colored mbp, if it came out tomorrow I wouldn't be upset that I have a silver one because I truly do love my machine. Apple will always continue to innovate and release new products, and IMO now that they're using intel chips the rate of obsolescence will increase (in terms of harware and performance more than appearance).
Ray Ban Sunglasses 5 starsIf this is a product called showtime, that could be a Bad Thing (tm). A media application that has the same name as the movie channel? Sounds like grounds for a trademark lawsuit to me. Mighty Mouse is a little harder to cause consumer confusion: one's an computer mouse, the other is a cartoon character. But a movie software application and a movie channel? hmmmmm....

Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 aviatorI don't where they get there info from but O2 was not the exclusive Europe ROKR carrier. I've been using T-mobile on my ROKR for almost a year now in Germany and that was like 2 months before my friend was able to get his on O2. I really think that T-mobile would be a better choice to start with since it seems more punks, movie stars, and hollywood ho-joes use that service then any other since when they do the jet set thing they can take their phone with them and its a lot less then with Cigular. Might have to switch to T-MO next year especially with all that bleeding EDGE network they just snapped up a few weeks back. I have a feeling if Itunes Mobile is gonna be on this phone, we need EDGE or HSDPA, half the capitals of Europe have Hi-Data and we get stuck with a war to fight, and can only bring back old models to the auto world like the Camaro,Mustang, and now the stinking Cherokee is back as the Patriot.
One thing is for sure "Designed by Apple in California" is a very important tag line and George Bush has been pushing media to sell America, Apple got on just in time. Sony designed in Osaka, Nokia designed in Finland, Samsung designed in Japan, Motorola designed in Illinois... just don't have the same ring. Even though I can't stand it CAL I FOR NI A is the place to be, right now, well at least until this surge of 80 foot water rises over our heads.
So, Jed what we gonna do?
Will there be a keynote at the special event?
If so, is Steve gonna address that?
If you read the linked article you will see that the guard exchanged gunfire with the 2 male suspects. It's not excessive to try to save your own life...
This is stated so matter of fact. There is no ? in the title. How certain is arn? He always uses ?

I know this sounds silly but how do you monitor processor usage from a process via Activity Monitor? I have the Developer Tools installed too. I'm not a developer but well...my work requires me to have them installed anyways.Yes that's right. I always have Activity Monitor on so I can see exactly what's going on with my four cores. I have the sort on the percentage column on the left followed by the application name and then I stick it in the lower right corner of my two screens. By keeping it open I can make sure nothing has crashed.
Both Toast and Handbrake occasionally crash during an encode or even while Toast is writing the image after an encode. Occasionally it's due to a bad original file MPEG2 glitch that will keep causing Toast to crash repeatedly. But ususally I can relaunch and re-run the process and it works fine the second time.
I wonder how many who posted here in favor of removing these apps, are also supporters of wikileaks? i'm sure it's a significant number. how ironic.
How about you duervo, you a wikileaks fan? hmm?
I think wikileaks is funny and I don't think the apps should be pulled. Now THAT is ironic!
